We’re counting down now: maybe you still have gifts to buy and maybe you’re done.  Here’s an idea that won’t cost you anything but will provide great joy and bring you closer to the ones you care about.

The gift of words. Steve Jobs did this – he left us a legacy.  And part of his legacy were some wonderful words.  In particular I like this quote from his Stanford University Commencement Speech in 2005.

“You can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backward. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something – your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life.”

Sharing some of your own personal special thoughts with friends & family can be very meaningful – just a page or two about your thoughts and feelings.  Remember words that come from the Heart speak to the Heart.

It’s called an Ethical Wills – not to be mistaken with a Legal Will.  Ethical Wills are precious spiritual documents, windows into the souls of those who write them. (Here’s some Tips to get you started) 

This kind of sharing during the Holiday Season can really make a difference in someone’s life.  Building more meaningful relationships or repairing broken or damaged ones, creating a legacy of life lessons for those you care about.
